There are 138 recipes listed in the magazine that are organized by region of Italy. Over the next year, I'm going to see how many of these I can tackle. The math comes out to about 1 recipe every 3 days. Now, that's a lot of cooking and a lot of organization! Some of these recipes use ingredients I've never worked with before, some use food I've never heard of before, and a lot of them are desserts, which I don't often make. I guess what I'm trying to say is we'll see what happens! I may fail miserably at some of these recipes or I may find a new favorite dish!
While there are challenges, I'm excited... and nervous! Being half-Italian, I'm also taking this as an opportunity to learn even more about my ancestors and the different food from each region of Italy. While blogging, I'm hoping I can share with you the good and the bad, as well as how much these recipes cost, and how much time they really take to make from start to finish.
Stay tuned for updates on this challenge and all the other recipes we'll be cooking up in 2016! Happy New Year!
